S hort Biography...

I got my first Ham Licence in 1989 as CM2OJ. One year later, I earned my first class Licence and started signing on the bands as CO2OJ. I participated in the organization of the Cuban VHF-UHF Group in 1989 and have been its National Coordinator since that moment.

Although I'm also active on HF, I prefer the VHF+ bands. I have been very active in 6m and 2m during the last years and have more than 300 worked. I participated with CO2KK, CO2JA and other cuban hams in the organization of the ever first cuban VHF contest station, the CO0FRC, in june 1993, from Bellomonte, a beautiful hill 20 miles east of Habana City.

I love contests (HF and VHF+) and all digital modes such as PSK31 and SSTV and more recently. the HSMS. I have also worked satellite throught the russian RS's birds and worked also several stations on 2m Meteor Scatter using WSJT.

In 1993, during the IV Congress of the Federacion de Radioaficionados de Cuba, I was elected for the Board of Directors. In 1995, was designed as General Secretary and later reelected for another 5 years period during the V Congress in march 1999 and again in the VI Congress, in may 2004.
